Your Cover Buddy Lifter comes with a bracket to attach the lifter to the spa skirt.

To use the under spa brackets, instead of attaching the pivot arm to the brackets that is used to screw into the skirt (figure 1), you would attach the pivot arm to the under spa brackets (figure 2).
